Waiting

I'm waiting for my new acquisition to arrive. That should happen tomorrow. I'm already pumped and stoked.

There is quite a confusing battle against the fact that is this a Mike Stern guitar or not?

Yamaha USA states that it is Mike Stern, so technically yes.

    There are 2 Mike Stern models 1511 MS and 1611 MS

    The MS in 311 MS was for Maple neck Single cut as there was also for a brief period of time a 311S which had a rosewood neck and the same single cut. Yamaha USA presented those different models on the same page, but in no way the 311 is a Mike Stern.. I own a 311 MS heavily modified and would not want the 7 1/2 radius neck of the real McCoy!
